PAUL Cook will miss Saturday's trip to Birmingham City.
But the midfield schemer hasn't suffered any serious damage to the knee he hurt in training last Friday and won't be a long-term casualty.
"Paul hasn't torn anything. We think he has just nipped his knee.
"There's nothing untoward but he's still going to be out for about 10 days," Ternent confirmed.
Next Tuesday night's re-arranged home clash with Norwich City may therefore come too soon.
But Burnley will hope to have their play-maker available against for the trip to high-flying Watford on Saturday week.
Burnley's reserves entertain Oldham Athletic at Turf Moor tonight (kick-off 7.15).
