FOOTBALL memorabilia belonging to the newly-crowned England captain David Beckham goes under the hammer at Bury Grammar School (Girls) on Thursday (Nov 16).
The auction is being staged by pupils to help those less well off.
Twenty students from both the boys' and girls' schools hope to travel to Nepal as part of the World Challenge project. But this is no holiday for the teenagers as during their stay they will help to build vital facilities, such as greenhouses, and teach local children.
Each intrepid adventurer will have to raise £2,900 before they can travel to the country.
Other lots on offer at the auction include holidays and restaurant meals.
All money raised will go towards paying for the trip.
Tickets for the auction cost £3 and can be bought at the door.
