THE St Helens Star (Satellite Training Academy for Rounders) Centre is now firmly established in the town.
The first block of sessions has been well attended, and there is a wealth of talent waiting to join the town's league. Year 5 to 11 pupils who enjoy playing rounders - ability is not an issue - are welcome to attend. Sessions are run at St Helens College Sports Hall and the cost is £1.50 per session.
Star Centre manager, Janette Toole is keen to hear from girls willing to participate in the sessions commencing January 17, next year, She said: "The girls who attend seem really keen and motivated, but, more importantly, they seem to enjoy the coaching on offer."
Janette would also like to thank Sarah Molyneux who is assisting in a voluntary capacity, and Rachel Smith whose coaching has proved invaluable. For those interested, Janette can be contacted by day on 750555, or evenings on 600362.
