FUN-loving Louise Kay is laughing all the way to the bank after scooping £20,000 in a radio joke-telling competition.

The 28-year-old from Sutton Manor, told the Star: "The joke was one that my brother, Steven had told me and I couldn't stop laughing when I heard it. I knew about the competition because I listen to the station every day and I told him to send it in, but he wouldn't so in the end I decided to do it myself."

And Louise, who works as a staff travel officer for Air Miles in Warrington, couldn't believe her ears when Manchester-based Century FM station contacted her to say she had won first prize out of more than 30,000 entries.

She added: "I was chuffed. I still live with my parents at the moment, as does my boyfriend, Hughie, but this will give us a chance to start saving for a house together. I am also planning to buy a new TV, stereo, and I would like a new car as well. Hughie and I are also planning a holiday to Lanzarote next year to see his parents who run a bar out there. Of course, I will be treating my family as well, especially Stephen."

And the winning gag... Have you heard about the guy working on the waltzer at the fair who fell off the ride and was instantly sacked by his boss? He took his employers to a tribunal where he was won £20,000 compensation for 'funfair' dismissal.
