A SHOPKEEPER and her two sons were attacked and £500 stolen after three men walked in and started a scuffle.
The incident continued on the street on the corner of Audley Range and Lambeth Street, Blackburn, and also involved a by-stander. The woman was pushed to the ground during the skirmish on Tuesday around 6pm, and the draper's shop was ransacked.
One son was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary with cuts to his face and hands and the two other victims suffered cuts and bruising to their heads.
The men are described as being Asian, in their early 20s, with short cropped hair. Police are continuing their investigations and are waiting for a Punjabi interpreter to arrive to speak to the family involved. Anybody with information should contact Blackburn police on 01254 51212.
