KEITH Gillespie is now back in training and hoping to put himself in the shop window after being laid low by a virus in recent weeks.

Rovers have yet to hear of any interest in the Northern Ireland international who was granted a free transfer by manager Graeme Souness last week.

But the player is confident of getting fixed up once he has proved his match-fitness.

"I haven't played much recently so other clubs will want me to prove my fitness and, in order to do that, I've got to get back playing," said Gillespie.

Aston Villa have been linked with the player but he has dismissed that as paper talk.
