FORMER solicitor's clerk Louis Rebello has been committed for trial on charges of theft, deception and falsifying documents.
Rebello, 46, was before Lancaster magistrates yesterday to hear the charges, which relate to his time working at Forbes and Partners, in Northgate, Blackburn.
Rebello, of School Lane, Guide, left the firm a year ago after the alleged offences were said to have been committed.
No plea was taken at yesterday's hearing but an indictment consisting of seven counts of theft, three of deception and seven of falsifying documents was put.
The original charges of ten theft and ten false accounting charges were discharged.
Rebello was given unconditional bail and ordered to appear for a plea and directions hearing at Lancaster Crown Court on January 5.
