A COUPLE of Japanese runners will be sporting the colours of Accrington Road Runners after the International Friendship Run.
Road Runners Harry Haseley and Gill Craske were among 1000 athletes who took part in the four mile jog, from the Empire State Building to Central Park the day before the New York Marathon and afterwards observed the tradition of exchanging T-shirts.
Harry, with over 100 marathons to his credit ran New York in 3:37 despite a heavy fall, while Gill logged 3:52 in her third marathon of the year.
