WOLVES midfielder Simon Osborn has appealed for calm amongst the club's disillusioned supporters as the men from Molineux attempt to become party-poopers at Ewood tomorrow.

Frustrated fans demanded the head of owner Sir Jack Hayward and chief executive Jez Moxey in a post-match demonstration after the 3-1 pounding by Crystal Palace last weekend.

But the 28-year-old -- who misses tomorrow's game through suspension -- reckons supporters should be spending their energy getting behind the team in their hour of need.

"We need the fans to get behind us all the way," said Osborn.

"We have a lot of young players in the side and they have not experienced upsets like the ones we have had over the last couple of weeks.

"Now is the time for everyone to pull together to get the team winning again.

"Our priority is to get things right on the field and we don't need reminding that we have let ourselves down and let our fans down by our performances against Crewe and Palace recently."

Despite the mounting crisis in the Black Country, fans have refused to turn on manager Colin Lee, however.

When Wolves announced they were holding a press conference last Monday many supporters assumed the under-pressure boss had been shown the door.

But, as it later transpired, the conference was called to discuss the feelings of club owner Sir Jack Hayward after last weekend's ugly demonstrations.

And Lee has since been flooded by messages of support. "I had a lot of calls from fans wanting to know what had happened to me," said Lee.
