SOMEONE drew my attention to a letter in last week's Citizen concerning an idea for bulldozing a large area of the West End of Morecambe and decanting people on to the Ryelands Estate.
The writer did not suggest from where the many millions of pounds to pay for the bulldozing and redevelopment might be found. Or , indeed, the cost of the "ethnic cleansing"!
I presume it was intended to be a joke. I didn't think it was especially funny and I don't suppose that people who live in the West End or Ryelands did either.
