ON Bonfire Night (November 5) I should have been taking my five year old son to the organised firework display at Hilton Park. Up to this year he has always been frightened of the fireworks and preferred to watch them through his bedroom window.
The night before Bonfire Night, some brainless idiot put a firework through our letterbox. My son was petrified and was literally shaking from head to toe for over half an hour. Consequently, we never went to Hilton Park and my son is once again frightened of fireworks.
My 19 month old daughter very often sits on the floor near the front door and plays with her toys. I dread to think what would have happened if she had been sat there when this happened.
So, thank you very much whoever you are, I hope you got some pleasure from it because my family certainly didn't.
