A CHILDREN'S playground is going to get a welcome face-lift at Marsland Green.
The Marklands Road play park off Green Avenue is due to get an upgraded football area, climbing frame and swings after consultations between Bedford/Astley ward councillors John Lea, Charlie Rigby, Fred Walker and residents.
"We won't be putting a roof over it as some jester suggested, but there will be improvements backed by Brighter Borough funding," said Cllr Walker.
