AN exhibition of Glazebury village life past and present goes on show this weekend.

A walk-through exhibition of memorabilia and photographs through the ages will be open to the public at T and T Thompsons, Albion Park, Warrington Road, on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19 from 11am to 4pm.

Entrance to the past and present show, planned to celebrate the Millennium, is £1 which will be donated to a chosen village charity.

And organiser Ann Thompson is appealing to anyone who has anything they think may be of interest to contact her at the transport company site up to 9pm.

Church organist, Mrs Sally Cook, still playing in her nineties, has loaned her wedding dress, and Dorothy Roberts has contributed her father's old Glazebury Band tunic.

Ann, who lives in the old Cross Keys pub, the first and last house in the village, said: "It will be a real walk down Memory Lane.

"We decided to organise the event to celebrate the new century and it has taken a few months to get together."
