A DISABLED Leigh pensioner is hoping to raise cash for a charity which provides free holiday accommodation for sick youngsters.
Kathleen Boland, of Hope Carr Lane, is planning a concert on December 15 at Eastleigh Labour Club, for Donna's Dream House.
The charity was set up by the family of Donna Curtis, who died of cancer at the age of 21.
Donna had three wishes before her death -- to raise cash for a local hospice, send children to America for a dream holiday and provide free holiday accommodation in her home town of Blackpool for sick youngsters and their families.
Four years after her death, her wishes are a reality.
The Kensington Foundation, a private trust which has the use of two luxury apartments in a purpose built block in Highfield Road, Blackpool, can accommodate children with life threatening diseases and their families.
Mrs Boland, who has previously helped with hospital and homeless charities, said: "I have spent many holidays in Blackpool over the years and have seen the wonderful fund-raising work that goes on there.
"I would like to spend the word that the Dream House is open to local children and their families. I hope local businesses and people will support a fund-raising concert."
