ANDY Preece will be hoping to avoid the fate of two former Gigg Lane bosses.
Former Bury managers Stan Ternent and Sam Ellis both suffered the indignity of losing to non League opposition (Blyth Spartans and Chorley respectively) whilst occupying the managers' chair at Gigg Lane.
But the Shakers go into the game seeking their first win in eight matches and their Conference opponents Northwich Victoria have won their last six on the bounce
Preece is likely to retain his 3-4-3 formation which was introduced last week at Wycombe and is not expected to make any changes to the starting line up. Darren Bullock will return to the bench after a lengthy lay off.
