Blackburn Hawks are up for the cup this weekend, with back-to-back action home and away.
Tomorrow the Hawks entertain arch-rivals Altrincham Aces in the defence of their North West Challenge Trophy, just days after a tight 6-6 league clash with the Cheshire outfit.
Hawks' coach Bobby Haig said: "I am still wondering how we ended up sharing the points. We were the better side and I'm unhappy that we didn't win. We are determined to put the record straight at the Arena tomorrow."
The Hawks have now gone seven games undefeated, are lying third in the league and confidence is the camp is high.
"I am very pleased with our league form," said Haig. "We are up there challenging, and Billingham who are second, could only draw last weekend so the pressure's on."
On Sunday the Hawks travel to Deeside to play Flintshire Freeze in an English Cup fixture. In two combative pre-season games, the Hawks enjoyed double victories over their Welsh opponents.
