BOLTON Wanderers' manager Sam Allardyce is rallying the troops ahead of the long trip for tomorrow's league match at Norwich City.

He said: "It was an excellent performance against Barnsley last Saturday. I am looking for more of the same at Norwich. We have played well away from home so far, it is important now that we turn our good form into wins rather than draws."

Allardyce is awaiting the return of Ricardo Gardner and Kevin Nolan from international duties before finalising the line-up to face the Canaries.

Gardner, in sparkling form since his return from long-term injury, was in the Jamaican side to face Guatemala in a World Cup qualifying game, and Nolan was at Bradford for the England U18 clash with Belgium.

Providing both players return injury-free, they will start against Norwich. One definitely omission is striker Dean Holdsworth. After missing games with a groin problem, Holdsworth returned as a substitute against Barnsley but is now out with a calf strain. Meanwhile, Allardyce has run the rule over Cameroon's defender Pierr Njanka this week as he seeks to strengthen the back line following the departure of Mark Fish.

Allardyce said: He has a lot of ability, but with someone like him it's about affordability. I am impressed with him and we will be looking at a financial package if all goes to play."
