BURNLEY band Necessary Elvis have won their way through to the final of the Play the Cavern Competition.
Their original set of American-style rock beat off the challenge of five other bands to secure victory in their heat.
Delighted drummer Ben Walker said: "It's like a dream come true to play the Cavern. It's thanks to Burnley College that we heard about the event and now we're busy planning what to play in the final."
The final of the event, which is being run in conjunction with Dawson's Music, is at the Cavern in Liverpool on February 8 next year.
The winning band will take away £5,000-worth of Roland musical equipment.
