TEN Stone Dead have changed singers, got a new drummer, changed style and re-written their entire set.
The busy Clayton-le-Moors outfit parted company with their lead singer Stephen Spencer last month after musical differences within the band.
Pete Norman said: "We were writing quickly and the new stuff was very different to what we'd done.
"It's more acoustic with a bit of the Coldplay thing going on.
"The band had moved moved in different directions so it was time for a change. But we're all still best mates so there's no bad feeling."
With Pete swapping the role of drummer for lead singer the group have been joined Dan Pinder formerly of Hyndburn indie boys Flux. Having just recorded two tracks in the studio, the group plan to unveil the new material next Saturday during a free gig at The Albion, Clayton-le-Moors. They also play the Night and Day Cafe in Manchester on December 19, alongside Kowloon and Goad, with admission £3 on the door or £2.50 with a flyer.
