EDENFIELD youngsters are one step nearer to getting their own meeting point in the village.
Teenagers have complained for years that they have no meeting place near their homes.
Now Lancashire County Council has asked Rossendale Council's permission to develop a youth shelter with rebound wall or skateboard facilities in Exchange Street.
The youth and community service is working on the project and has started informal consultation with neighbours and young people.
Rossendale councillors are due to discuss the proposals at Tuesday's meeting of the leisure and economic development committee.
