PADIHAM boss Graham Howarth picked up his manager of the month award and then watched his side come from 2-0 down to topple league leaders Stone Dominoes at the Arbories.
The manager of the month award -- usually the kiss of death for any football manager -- seemed only to inspire Howarth's side.
But there was heartache for centre half Carl Parker who broke his right leg in a strong challenge in the second half.
He was stretchered off and immediately rushed to hospital where the devastating injury was confirmed.
This was the second 4-2 scoreline from games between these two Division Two new-boys this season.
Padiham beat Stone by the same scoreline in the Second Division Trophy in October, but they didn't have to come from two down at half-time to win that one.
First-half goals from Dave Shaw and Paul Martin put Stone 2-0 up going into the break.
But the Padiham fightback started three minutes into the second half when John Harrison volleyed in a left wing cross.
Darren Forrest equalised in the 60th minute and in the final 10 minutes of the
fiercely contested game, Shaun Kendall (80 mins) and Lee Chambers (85) made sure of the win with goals that keep the Storks in third place, five points behind leaders Stone Dominoes.
Next Saturday Padiham are in Cup action when they travel to Daisy Hill in the Worthington Challenge competition, kick off 1.30pm.
