THE chairman of governors at a Blackpool primary school has been delving into the recent past to write a book about the school.
Judy Willis, from Westcliff Primary School, Crawford Avenue, Bispham, wrote the book about the past four years at the school to follow on from the work started by former chairman, John Puncy. He began recording the history of Westcliff in 1990 and Mrs Willis, in this millennium year, has produced part four of the Westcliff story. Headteacher at the school, Susan Wilson, said the book covers many fascinating events such as the time when children from the school were invited to London to appear in Richard and Judy's nativity play on the television show This Morning.
Susan, pictured here with a copy of the book, said: "I'm pleased we are maintaining the tradition of recording the history of Westcliff -- no matter what happens we will always have a record of it."
Anyone interested in purchasing a copy should contact the school on (01253) 353792.
