TIME will stand still at a go-ahead high school.
A "snapshot" of today's Primet High School in Colne will be frozen for posterity after pupils and staff buried a new time capsule.
They were re-enacting events in 1939 when the school was built and a 16-year-old builder's apprentice placed a note in a bottle detailing all the names of he construction workers and relevant news of the day at the outbreak of war.
The new capsule, a bright red fibreglass box, donated by Nelson firm Trojan Products, contains photographs of staff and students, pieces of uniform, fashion and popular music items, school books and much more.
Ex-pupil Jenny Suddell designed and made a plaque to mark the site of the burial.
