THREE games survived the weather in the Leigh League.

In Division One, Leigh Sportsmen look to have finally killed off lingering relegation worries with a 4-2 win at Limelight.

Matt Poyner's 23rd minute strike set the ball rolling with John McLoughlin scoring on 39 and 65 minutes to create a three-goal cushion.

Two goals in four minutes from Gary Renshaw on 75 and Matt Pollard on 79 lit up Limelight but that was soon extinguished when McLoughlin completed his hat-trick on 87 minutes.

In Division Two, Dave Sizer gave Howe Bridge Mills a 20th minute lead at home to Courts B which was cancelled out for the visitors five minutes later by Matt Disley.

Paul Molyneux restored the Atherton team's lead on the half hour mark and two goals in seven second half minutes from John Cassidy and Aaron Walker saw Mills to a 4-1 victory.

Three Crowns B held the half time initiative courtesy of a Mark Saunders 22nd minute goal but Horns Inns blew them away after the interval with Aiden Lavery, Chris Duddle and Andy Tipping securing a 3-1 win.
