TWO people were injured when a car ploughed into the back of a lorry on the East Lancs Road .
The accident at 7.56am on Monday morning between Lane Head and Atherleigh Way in Lowton held up early rush hour traffic on the Manchester-bound carriageway for around half an hour.
The two injured people from the Citroen Saxo were taken to Warrington Hospital but released after treatment for whiplash.
A third of the occupant of the car, who are all from the Leigh area, was not injured.
The lorry driver, from Stoke-on-Trent, was also not injured.
