LITTLE Megan Lyth was the envy of every girl when she was given 30 seconds to fill her trolley with as many Barbie goodies as she could.

The six-year-old was given the dream opportunity at Toys R Us after coming first in a regional colouring competition.

She turned up on Sunday morning with her mum Helen, four-month-old brother Cameron, and grandma Maureen Bowers, and could not wait to get dashing down the aisle to pick up the Barbie goodies.

Her mother said: "She's really excited. She's told me she wants to get a pair of shoes and slippers for Ken, for some reason!

"I've told her to have a good look first at what she wants, before she goes down the aisle."

Megan, of Clements Avenue, Atherton, managed to get plenty of toys as the 30 seconds ticked away, grabbing everything from bicycle helmets to rollerskates, tea sets and even a Barbie lap top computer.

The boxes were piled so high by the end, staff had to put some of them in a second trolley.

It was a late birthday present for Megan, who turned six last week, and an early Christmas present.

Megan (pictured) said there was nothing she wanted from Santa now, but her mother said she would still be getting a surprise. The kind-hearted little girl has also told her mum she will donate a Barbie to a children's hospital this Christmas.

Her mum added: "She's really creative and her entry for the competition was really good. I was so excited when I heard she had won, you would have thought I'd won the Lottery."

The trolley dash was held at all 63 Toys R Us stores up and down the country.
