GREAT Harwood assistant manager Andy Clarkson believes his side can learn from their 6-0 cup defeat against Fleetwood Freeport on Monday.
Clarkson, who was in charge in the absence of boss Dennis Underwood, said the scoreline flattered Fleetwood as Town chased their game when 3-0 down.
But he said his side have learnt not to drop their heads after going a couple of goals down.
He said: "We had a good chat about the game after the match and I told the lads that they should keep their heads up if they go a few goals down.
"People will see the scoreline and think we got hammered but we took a gamble and decided to chase the game when we were 3-0 down and got caught.
"But it is one cup competition out of the way so now we can concentrate on our league programme."
Town entertain Mossley with Clarkson, Neil Kennedy and Paul Lynch all missing. But long term injury victim Martin Horsfield could be back.
