THE voucher scheme that I have just read about (Painting the town red, Citizen, Nov 23) for redecorating homes will not work as well as Blackpool council might think.
I now live in the United States and our State and town has done
the voucher bit. The people use the voucher then sell the things they bought to buy drink or drugs.
The crafty ones know how to get around most of what the people in government think is fool proof. But I wish you the best of luck.
