CHILDHOOD memories of Christmas came flooding back this week.
I had a rare reason to visit Wigan's Galleries and was really impressed by its festive decor - especially Santa's grotto.
Mums and dads were queuing with excited little ones waiting to see the big man at £2.50 a go - including a prezzie.
I wondered if they believed he was the real one.
When I was small I had to be taken all the way to Lewis' in Manchester because I was convinced he was the true Father Christmas and any other was a fake.
But then I've always had expensive tastes.
