I AGREE with the Rev Kevin Logan (LET, December 12) -- children need to be loved and cuddled and shown affection.
They also need to be disciplined, so they realise what is right and what is wrong.
As the law stands at present parents, teachers, police and those in authority cannot do these things.
If the law isn't altered, we will have children growing up unloved and undisciplined -- which is not good for anyone.
