WELL, thank goodness that's over. Burnley versus Blackburn has loomed large on the fixture list since day one and dominated the season to date.
What happened on the pitch at Turf Moor on Sunday naturally prompted different emotions across East Lancashire but at least normal life can now be resumed.
As expected, Blackburn are heading for the top and will make the play-offs if not the second automatic promotion place, as befits their status as one of the biggest clubs in the division.
Burnley, despite the defeats to Preston and Blackburn, are still having an excellent season and have nothing to be ashamed of just 22 games into their First Division lives.
So what was all the fuss about? Just four months to wait and see.
