LEIGH Centurions mix youth and experience when their Alliance side kicks off the new season against Widnes at Hilton Park tonight (Wed), 7.30pm.
Widnes, with 12 straight wins behind them stretching back to last season, will come up against a Leigh side that contains several of last year's successful Academy team as well as established first teamers such as Paul Wingfield, Radney Bowker, Andy Leathem and Saf Patel.
New Aussie recruit Jamie Gass will also make his debut and there is a chance that club skipper Kieron Purtill will use part of the game to ease his way back into action after close season shoulder surgery.
The squad is: Fishwick, Pilkington, Halliwell, Donlan, Wingfield P, Bowker, Sanderson, Leathem, Patel, Bourhill, Wingfield C, Lomax, Hodson, Gass, Hartley, Johnson, Lewis, Purtill.
