BURNLEY look set to escape punishment following pitch battles during their 2-0 derby defeat against Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor on Sunday.
Referee Fraser Stretton's report is set to land on the desk of the Football Association today but sources at the FA suggest they are not expecting anything out of the ordinary from the Nottingham-based man in black.
Under the new FA rules, teams face fines for 'brawls' and, in Sunday's highly charged game, tempers flared following Kevin Ball's tackle on Rovers David Dunn and the Burnley midfielder's subsequent sending off in the 76th minute.
Rovers chief Graeme Souness felt his side were not to be blamed for the incidents.
"I do not think we were responsible for the scuffles," he said.
Earlier this season, Preston and Sheffield United were fined £15,000 each following a 17-man brawl at Deepdale.
