POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road accident in which an elderly woman was seriously injured.
The accident happened in High Street, Newton-le-Willows, the A49, at about 5.10pm on Thursday, December 15, when the woman was in collision with a red Peugeot 405, travelling towards Ashton.
She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Warrington General Hospital where her condition is giving cause for concern.
