LOCAL knowledge paid dividends for Nathan Wrigglesworth at Bradford DMC's Cowling Crag trial. Wrigglesworth, who lives just yards from the venue, emerged quickest on the hard route despite a dusting of snow which made the going difficult. Second place went to Barnoldwick's Anthony Ayrton, with Danny Smith, from Nelson, in third.
Competition was close on the 'clubman' route, with Andrew Clayton just getting the verdict from Frank Proud by one point and Earby garage owner Brian Lancaster taking third.
The club's next trial is on Boxing Day at Howden Wood, Silsden, further details tel: 01282 619499.
