COLOMBIAN Juan Pablo Montoya has chosen the World's Number One Racing Car Show to make his first British public appearance since joining the Williams-BMW F1 team.
Montoya has replaced Jenson Button to join German Ralf Schumacher at Williams after a brilliant last three years that has paved his way to join the motorsport elite, and will fly in from an extensive three-day test programme with his new team to star at the Autosport International show at Birmingham's NEC on Saturday 13 January 2001.
With a reputation for speaking his mind, Montoya will emphasise his determination to endorse Frank Williams' faith in him when he meets the fans at the NEC. He has already inquired about a host of activities at the show and is "really looking forward" to a busy day in Birmingham.
Public access to Autosport International 2001 is restricted to Saturday and Sunday (January 13-14) with press and trade access on Thursday and Friday (11-12). Adult entry prices for the show are £13 with British Eurosport Thunderdrome tickets at £10 on the day, £7 in advance.
