A BY-ELECTION has been called for Prescot West ward of Knowsley Borough Council following the death of Councillor Eric Byron.
The election will be held on Thursday, January 4, with three candidates standing for the vacant seat.
They are: George Hayward (Lab); Gary Robertson (Con) and John Wynn (Lib Dem).
Knowsley Council currently is made up of 62 Labour members and three Liberal Democrats.
