THE former Prestige factory in Burnley may have been demolished but the site's new owners Sainsbury's have kept alive a Christmas tradition at the former factory.
The art deco facade has been decorated with Christmas trees and lights to celebrate the festive season. Prestige, which manufactured kitchenware, closed in 1997 with the loss of more than 300 jobs. Sainsbury's is currently developing the site for a new super store to replace its Church Street premises.
Chris Robinson, son of the late Prestige factory maintenance manager Peter Robinson, was invited to switch on the lights.
