TYLDESLEY RU's game at Bury was called off so attention shifted to the second and third teams who both produced outstanding displays.

The second team went 10-0 down at home to Bury after just 15 minutes of play but they fought back to register an impressive 34-10 win with tries from Craig Shotton (2) and Shaun Pulman, Sheldon Jones, Ian Worsfold and Graham Harrop.

The third team travelled to Vulcan 2nd team and gave the Warrington side a lesson in good finishing as they ran out winners 29-7. The best try of the day came from centre Gary Durney who made an impressive debut.

Tyldesley Under 16s produced their best performance for sometime with a comprehensive 40-0 win away at Aldwinians.

In a fantastic first half Tyldesley scored tries by Stuart Young, Gareth Pulman, Mark Jones and a peach from Mark Dickinson all of them converted by Dickinson.

The second period saw the home side put up more of performance with Tyldesley having to settle for further tries from Jones again and Centre Ashley Worsfold, Dickinson kicked one more conversion.

All the team played well with the pack playing at their best allowing the Tyldesley back line time and space to run in.

Tyldesley are still on the lookout for Under 16s players and anyone is welcomed to come training at the all weather pitch at Fred Longworth High School on Thursday's at 7.15pm.
