Lytham Ladies 6 Nelson Ladies 2nd XI 2 A GREAT team performance saw Lytham Ladies go through to the next round of the Lishman Cup.
A bright start saw Kelly Gore score on her debut but this was quickly equalised by Nelson with a penalty corner.
A spell of good play by Lytham was countered by a good breakaway goal from Nelson to take the lead.
Gradually though, Lytham took control of midfield with Gore and Michelle Singleton linking up well and shortly afterwards Gore equalised.
Ruth Blackburn then converted a penalty corner before "man of the match" Singleton score a great individual goal.
Jenny Leng then put the result beyond doubt, and finally Kelly Gore completed her hat-trick just before the final whistle.
Lytham Mens 3rd XI secured a good draw against league leaders Bowden 5th XI with goals from Martin Currie and Rob Davis. Lytham 4th XI were beaten 1-0 by Daton.
