HAVE you seen her?

Britain's favourite dinner lady will be making a flying visit to Blackpool next year, and if you haven't yet experienced the hilarious Victoria Wood "live" then it's definitely about time you caught up with the rest of the nation.

Victoria will be in town for one night only at Blackpool Opera House on May 25.

After starting out as a solo comedy performer, Victoria started writing scripts that resulted in The Wood and Walters TV series in which she starred with award-winning actress Julie Walters.

The Acorn Antiques segments in those shows are now regarded as comedy classics. Another highly acclaimed TV film written by Victoria, and starring Julie and Thora Hird, was Pat And Margaret.

Alongside tributes to her highly successful one-woman show she has won BAFTA Awards for her television comedy series. More recently, she wrote and starred in the popular sit-com Dinnerladies which won the Best New TV Comedy award at the National Television Awards.

Tickets for Victoria Wood at Blackpool Opera House are £21.50 and are on sale now from the Winter Gardens box office, or by calling Blackpool Live on 292029.
