I WOULD like to say what an excellent day out we had Burnley FC.

After worrying for days on end about whether there was going to be any trouble and whether we should go because of all the violence that was apparently going to happen I have to say that we felt safe and well looked after by all involved.

Apart from the few idiots who call themselves football fans and ran on the pitch, I really did not have any need to worry whatsoever.

Everybody did a brilliant job to make sure that it was an enjoyable experience for all fans from both sides. The police and stewards were brilliant.

The fans and players were also brilliant, and I am really glad that both myself and my husband went.

It will be a day that I will never forget. Thank you to everybody involved, especially the Rovers fans who kept everybody's spirits up. And I have got to add that I have only just got my voice back. Let's just hope that the same thing occurs when we play Burnley at Ewood Park.
