EAST Lancashire's top fell runners were honoured when the Fell Runners Association held it's Annual Award Ceremony at Shap in Cumbria.
Rossendale Harrier Ken Taylor (pictured) won the silver medal in the English Championship over 50 age group.
It was the second award of the weekend for Ken as the day before he had been voted Fell Runner of the Year by his club.
Clayton Harriers were the most successful of our clubs in the FRA's Championships with Wendy Dodds' victory in the English Veteran's Championship taking pride of place.
Todmorden Harrier Sue Becconsall took the silver medal.
Wendy also won a bronze medal in the ladies' team event with Maureen Laney, Vanessa Peacock, Linda Platt, Alison Smith, Katy Thompson and Kath Wallis.
Kath's husband Mike, competing in the M40 class, won silver in the English Championships and bronze in the British Championships.
His third medal of the season was as a member of Clayton's British Championship Veteran Team which took the bronze medal.
Mike's team mates were Pete Browning, Kieran Carr, Andrew Firth, Geoff Gough, Jack Holt, Mick Targett and Ross Jaques.
Supervet Ross also won individual silver in the English Championship as an over 60. Darwener Graham Schofield picked up a silver as Horwich were 2nd English Veteran Team.
