UNSWORTH pupils transformed their school into Fat Sam's Speakeasy and themselves into gangsters!
But it was all in good fun, as the youngsters of Unsworth CP School performed the musical "Bugsy Malone".
The Year 6 children took the lead, but all the junior school children took part in the two shows which played to packed audiences of parents and friends last week. Even the staff dressed up as gangsters or dancehall girls.
The main characters included Matthew Phair (as Dandy Dan) and Matthew Auerbach (as Bugsy), with Katie Bridge as Blousey Brown, Jodie Hill as Tallulah and Ricardo Amatino as Laughing Boy. Chief among the dancehall girls were Claire Sigley, Nicole Woolfenden, Christina Prevett and Desna Thorne.
