EWOOD chief Graeme Souness will not be pursuing his interest in St Etienne star Pape Sarr.
Souness flew over to France yesterday to watch the Senegal international in action against Lyon.
But, though the Blackburn boss was impressed with the 23-year-old, he is not the kind of player he is looking for.
"He's not for us," said Souness.
"He did okay but he's not the type of player we are looking for."
Souness may now turn his attentions to bringing a player in on loan to boost his midfield resources which have been depleted recently following the departures of Billy McKinlay and Lee Carsley.
