Protesters are keeping up the pressure on Burnley Council to stop a gas supply company expanding on to an estate near their homes.
Householders from the Lydgate area of Briercliffe met councillors at a public meeting to underline their determination to prevent the Alta Gas company setting up more liquid petroleum gas stores on the Heasandford estate.
A planning application for the development is still being considered by the council which wants more assurances on safety before any final go-ahead is given.
But residents believe they hold a trump card for victory in Independent Group leader Coun Harry Brooks' plan to ask the council later this month to rescind its earlier decision to sell the local authority-owned land to the company -- this blocking its way onto the site.
Around 70 residents and three local councillors attended the meeting in St James' School.
