RADCLIFFE-based commercial flooring specialists Polyflor Ltd have restructured and strengthened their sales management team with two new key appointments.

Market and product development manager Adrian Birmingham, who lives in Bury, is promoted to general sales manager, reporting direct to sales director Mike Trelease.

And southern regional sales manager Mark Scull, who lives in Haverhill in Suffolk, now heads the UK sales force as national sales manager.

Adrian (40), joined the company as an export assistant in 1984 and was appointed market and product development manager in 1992 after spells as export office manager, export regional sales manager and export sales and marketing manager.

He has a BA (Hons) degree in Spanish from Leeds University and began his career in the Patent Office of the Department of Trade and Industry in London.

Mark (31), was appointed southern regional manager in 1997 after five years as a Polyflor technical sales representative, first in the Home Counties then in Bristol and the West Country.

Mike Trelease said: "These are strategic appointments for the future and will enable us to focus even more effectively on the needs of the market and of our distributor and contractor customers, helping to ensure we maintain our pole position in commercial floorcoverings."
