COLNE 0 DAISY HILL 2
COLNE had John Ackerley sent off as they slipped to another defeat at Holt House last night.
The game boiled over early in the second half with Colne trailing to a Paul Prescott goal three minutes after the restart.
Colne were awarded a free kick and in a nasty exchange Ackerley was spat at before reacting forcibly to spark a punch-up.
When the referee calmed things down Ackerley received his marching orders and Colne felt aggrieved that none of the Daisy Hill players were given similar punishment.
To add to the woes of 10-man Colne, Dominic Shinks wrapped up the points for the visitors in the 67th minutes after a mix-up involving Colne player-manager John Lister.
Lee Coleridge missed a couple of late chances to put Colne back in the game -- not a happy night for Lister's strugglers.
