MEMBERS of Stacksteads Riverside Park Group are hoping to open a drop-in centre as a stepping stone to their dream of providing a community centre in the village.
Group member Sergeant John Edmundson of Lancashire Constabulary has organised a visit to an established drop-in centre in Colne on Friday, January 26.
Councillor Michael McShea, chairman of the Riverside Park Group, said: "Hopefully this will encourage us even further when we see just what can be achieved.
"We are very grateful to Sgt Edmundson for organising this visit."
The group are meeting at the Rose 'n' Bowl, Stacksteads, at 7.30pm.
