Reunion date I AM President of the Baines School Association, formerly called Baines Old Boys Association, whose members are both former pupils of Baines School, Poulton, and former/current staff.
We are holding a reunion social on February 2 when we invite all former pupils to attend. The event is being held at Premier Bowl, Central Drive, Blackpool, with two games of ten-pin bowls, followed by a basket meal and disco. We are looking to attract as many former pupils as possible, particularly females as the organisation includes a high percentage of males, even though the school has been mixed now for more than 20 years.
The association's main social event is the annual dinner, which is to be held at the school on March 3. Anyone wishing to attend the reunion social or dinner (tickets £8 and £18 respectively) or is interested in joining the association should contact me, John Strachan, on 823000 (home) or 622385 (work).
